180 or 360: Does the acquisition trajectory matter?
Dra. Camila Porto Capel · 1 min de leitura
The acquisition trajectory used in a CBCT examination can influence the amount and distribution of projection data available for image reconstruction. Two scans performed with the same field of view (FOV) may therefore produce different image characteristics if one uses a partial 180° rotation and the other uses a complete 360° trajectory.
Cone beam computed tomography reconstructs a three-dimensional volume from multiple two-dimensional X-ray projections acquired at different angles as the X-ray source and detector rotate around the patient.
