A centralized digital reporting center can address some of the main challenges faced by dental imaging networks, including standardization, turnaround time, and quality control. Because CBCT examinations generate fully digital DICOM files, studies acquired in different cities can be transferred directly to a centralized server or reporting center via FTP. This reduces the need for each location to rely on an isolated radiologist working independently.
