Modern dental radiology requires a careful balance between image quality and operational efficiency. Imaging centers must maintain high standards throughout the entire patient journey, from image acquisition and diagnostic reporting to timely delivery for both patients and referring clinicians, while sustaining the productivity needed for continued growth.
One of the main challenges in high-resolution CBCT imaging is patient movement during image acquisition. Even minor motion can generate artifacts that compromise diagnostic quality and may require the scan to be repeated. In systems without motion correction technology, repeat rates associated with patient movement could historically reach approximately 5 out of every 10 examinations.
