A CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) transformed the three-dimensional assessment of dentomaxillofacial structures. Unlike two-dimensional radiographs, it allows you to visualize structures in different planes and analyze anatomical relationships that may be overlapping or poorly defined in conventional images.
But there is an important difference between having a three-dimensional image and having an adequate three-dimensional image to answer clinical question.
